BREAD
Our bread is sourced from local artisan bakers with a delicious selection of sourdough, seeded, and rye. Our famous olive bread baked in the Arjuna Kitchen is sold at the till on a Monday and Friday, and we have gluten-free bread options for those with intolerances.
WHOLEFOODS
From aduki beans to quinoa, cashews to cacao, wholefoods are at the core of our business. Ethically-sourced and packed by hand in our warehouse, our affordable Arjuna ‘packdowns’ are sold in paper bags and biodegradable compostable plastic. They range from kitchen cupboard essentials like rice and muesli, to smoothie ingredients such as spirulina or hemp protein. We offer both organic and non-organic packdowns for most of the range, and a 10% discount when you buy six of the same line.
Discover a choice of dairy-free milks including almond, pea, hazelnut, soya, oat, rice, and coconut alongside pantry supplies, treats, and those hard to find ingedients called for in that recipe you just read!
‘Once you are done stocking your cupboard, browse the chiller for tofu, seitan and plant-based protein that holds it’s own on the bbq, alongside the finest vegan cheese, yogurt and hand-picked organic dairy produce. Kefir, local sauerkraut and other fermented foods can also be found here, while kombucha and soft drinks chill next-door in the drinks cabinet.
A much-loved corner of Arjuna Wholefoods is our unique herbs and spices section where you can weigh out exactly what you need at highly competitive prices.
FRUIT AND VEGETABLES
We love locally grown, seasonal fruits and vegetables. From a variety of squash in the winter, to rhubarb and berries in the summer our veg is always 100% organic, sold loose and plastic free whenever possible.
We support local growers such Wild Country Organics and The Prospects Trust who provide supported real work placements for people with additional needs, learning disabilities and autism.
A little further afield we sell exotics like bananas, avocados, ginger and turmeric root sourced from Cambridge Food Hub and Paul’s Soyfoods.
NATURAL BEAUTY AND ETHICAL HOME
Arjuna stocks a wide range of body care, from fluoride-free toothpaste to sulphate-free shampoos, deodorants and henna. We stock cruelty-free brands such as Faith in Nature and innovative waste-free products.
We also sell items from firm favourites such as Weleda, Green People, Lavera and Faith In Nature.
For your home we have eco-friendly plant-derived hypoallergenic washing-up liquid, laundry liquid and much more from Bio-D and Suma. A wide range of refill options are also now available from our popular refill station.
PLASTIC-FREE & REFILLS
It’s becoming ever more important that we all reduce the amount of plastic we consume. To this end Arjuna’s pack downs (our green and yellow label essentials) are sold in compostable packaging whilst the majority of our frozen section is now plastic-free.
Our popular lunches are sold in plastic-free Vegware packaging, and we only offer bamboo cutlery.
Bring your own bottle to refill on many household essentials from washing up liquid to laundry detergent, then replenish your shampoo and conditioner with refills of Faith In Nature products.
Pick up a bamboo toothbrush, shampoo bar, and some plastic-free shea butter from our friends Shimirose then grab some paper-wrapped bamboo toilet roll, zero-waste cloths, scourers and much much more!
TAKEAWAY COUNTER AND CATERING
Plant based lunch prepared in the Arjuna Kitchen can be found in the takeaway counter where a selection of healthy salads, meals, wraps, pizza, lentil lasagna, and our popular pasties await you!
